So…. all I want for Christmas is normal tv!

Tonight we went to my sisters house to put out WELCOME HOME decorations. My brother in finally getting back from Iraq and we wanted to surprise him with banners and balloons! I spray painted a white sheet with the words 2 IRAQ & Back and hung it on the garage door! A welcome home banner hangs on poles in the front yard and red white and blue balloons sway in the wind from the porch.

I also made him this cupcake flag along with some fresh baked goodies to say welcome home!

We finally decided to stop waiting to see about the move before Christmas and just get things set up here. Tree’s up..lights are strung.. stockings are hung and there is one little girl with a big grin on her face. She keeps going around throwing her hands in the air shouting I LOVE CHRISTMAS! I LOVE MY CHRISTMAS TREE! She has even been caught squeezing the stockings! Enjoy the pictures I took today.

The first picture is taken from the driveway looking toward the front of the house. The second picture is of a fruit tree that was just uprooted in our back yard. The third picture shows the back of the house with trees on the roof. And the last picture is taken AFTER someone was kind enough to cut some of the limbs away from the stairs so we can get off the porch.

That I will have to say was one of the most scariest things I have lived though. All night I laid there listening to trees hitting the house or splitting all around us! I was alone with my three kids. Hubby was stranded in Tulsa  so  Mommy had to put on a brave face!

I wake up to sound of little feet dashing to my room. My bed begins to shake!!

Well maybe it was not JUST LIKE THAT.. but… I did wake to the sound of thunder popping and the squeals of my kids. One.. two.. three… all in bed with me. Hubby is out of town so that made them even more on edge when its storming. Just something about daddy being home makes it a little better.

Lets just say none of us got much sleep. Little Carissa did sleep in this morning until about 10:00.  I had gone back to bed to “maybe nap” until I heard her start yelling in her sleep! Nooooo Joe… Don’t (trow) my (cayons) in the (twash)!!! I reassured her that all was fine and Joe was in his room reading! Took her a minute to wake up and realize all was ok.

Everything is covered in ice when we looked out.  Not so pretty when its on the limbs that have crashed down in your yard!

Will I get back to a nap later…?

Hum.. somedays Im 10, somedays Im 18 and other days Im 40 :( 

2. What habits, traits, or behaviors to you engage in that might be considered too young for you? Which might be considered a trait of someone older than you?

Lol.. well.. at times I can act younger then my kids when playing. I think my husband thinks I wine more than the kids at time! HAHAHA!!!

I think I am wizer in my years than some my age. Probally being raised by older parents maybe. Or.. am I compairing myself to my sisters?? *WINK*

3. Do you ever wish you were a different age than you are now? Why?

Nope. Lets just leave it at that!

4. Do you deliberately behave or dress a certain way to appear or feel younger than you are? How about older?

I think I dress modest and never have been the kind to dress like Im 16 again. I still love my holy jeans though!

My final decision after last Friday night.. is… NO. Or.. at least not my GEEK!

The evening started out with me making my family homemade pizza. That was a hit. Then they were exciting knowing I was going to make a candy bar pizza using some of the candy from Halloween. My husband wanted to make the candy bar pizza because he wanted to feel helpful?? useful?? … something like that. Before I know it he had thrown all the ingredence together. Yes.. butter sugar, flour, egg.. all of it and beat it all ot once! I told him that was not going to work but he says YES IT WILL.. IT WILL BE FINE! He throws in on a cookie sheet to make the crust of the pizza (a big cookie). Well with out further explanation.. Here is the result!!!

Lets just say the kitchen filled with smoke and it dripped out into the oven!

Luckly we had enough stuff to make another one! And yes.. I made this one!!
